ASTM A 53 covers seamless and welded steel pipe with nominal wall thickness. The surface condition is usually black and ASTM A53 pipe (also referred to as ASME SA53 pipe) is intended for mechanical and pressure applications and is also acceptable for ordinary uses in steam, water, gas and air lines. It is suitable for welding and for forming operations involving coiling, bending, and flanging.A53 seamless steel tube is a material of American standard steel pipe. The main production process of A53 seamless steel tubes is divided into cold drawing and hot rolling. The main difference between the two is that the production process of cold rolled seamless steel pipes is generally more complicated than that of hot rolling, and the appearance of cold rolled steel seamless pipe is shorter than that of hot rolling. Rolled steel seamless pipes, the wall thickness of cold-rolled seamless carbon steel pipe is generally smaller than that of hot-rolled seamless carbon steel pipes, but the surface looks brighter. The surface of hot-rolled carbon steel tube is relatively rough. The main production process round tube blank→heating→piercing→three-roll skew rolling, continuous rolling or extrusion→tube removal→sizing (or diameter reduction)→cooling→straightening→hydraulic test (or flaw detection)→marking→insertion library.

1. The main production process of hot-rolled seamless steel pipe (main inspection process):
Tube blank preparation and inspection→tube blank heating→piercing→tube rolling→steel reheating→fixed (reduced) diameter→heat treatment △→finished tube straightening→finishing→inspection (non-destructive, physical and chemical, Taiwan inspection)→warehousing
2. The main production process of cold-rolled (drawn) seamless steel pipes:
