Anchor is a rod system structure for rock and soil reinforcement.
Through the longitudinal tension of the bolt body, the shortcoming that the tensile capacity of rock and soil is far lower than the compressive capacity is overcome.
On the surface, it seems to limit the separation of rock and soil from the original body.
Macroscopically, it increases the cohesion of rock and soil mass.
From a mechanical point of view, it mainly improves the cohesion C and internal friction angle φ of the surrounding rock mass.
In essence, the bolt is located in the rock-soil body and forms a new complex with the rock-soil body. The bolts in this complex are the key to solving the low tensile capacity of the surrounding rock mass. As a result, the bearing capacity of the rock and soil itself is greatly enhanced.
Anchor is the most basic part of roadway support in contemporary underground mines. It binds the surrounding rock of the roadway together so that the surrounding rock can support itself.
Anchor rods are not only used in mines, but also in engineering technology for active reinforcement of slopes, tunnels, dams, etc.

1. No casings required, because anchor bars can be drilled into loose soils without needing casings to support the boreholes.
2. Fast drilling and installation, because drilling, installation and grouting are in a single operation.
3. Both rope threads and trapezoid threads are robust and ideal for rotary-percussive drilling and ensuring a high level of bondwith the borehole gout.
4. The hollow core not only serves for flushing during drilling, but also for grouting after drilling.
5. Continuous threads ensure the bars can be cut and coupled at any point, or extended.
